FOX Sports Opens New Rio Studio

RIO DE JANEIRO: FOX Sports Latin America has inaugurated its new Brazilian studio, a 43,000-square-foot facility in Rio that will begin operations in time for the opening week of the 2016 Olympic Games.

Located in Rio’s Barra da Tijuca, the 3-story building has 20 technical rooms, 3 studios, 8 editing suites, 2 sound-editing suites, 3 switchers, 27 offices and equipment suitable for augmented reality.

All of FOX Sports’s coverage, production and content generation of the Olympic Games for Latin America will be centralized in the new head office. FOX Sports Brazil will give logistics support to the 200 professionals who are part of local productions in FOX Sports Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, and will be in charge of broadcasting for other Latin American countries. Altogether, the Brazilian team will comprise 300 professionals.
