Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has entered a multiplatform licensing agreement with Paramount Global for The King of Queens, which includes streaming rights for the title on Paramount+ and Pluto TV.

The deal covers all nine seasons of the series, which follows the life of married couple Doug (Kevin James) and Carrie (Leah Remini) in Queens, New York, as the two try to make the best of what they have.

“We are thrilled to extend our long-standing relationship with Paramount through this multiplatform agreement for one of the most iconic sitcoms in SPT’s library,” said Flory Bramnick, executive VP of distribution at Sony Pictures Television. “We’re fortunate to be able to offer our partners highly coveted content across any genre that can be programmed specifically to their unique audience needs, and we’re confident The King of Queens will be a strong performer across multiple platforms.”

Monica Veiga, senior VP for U.S. distribution at Sony Pictures Entertainment, added: “The King of Queens is one of those rare, beloved comedies that consumers of all demos clamor for and continues to yield strong performance on any platform.”

“Paramount recognized the importance of consolidated cross-platform negotiations years ago to deliver entertainment to audiences anywhere and everywhere they consume content,” said Barbara Zaneri, chief program acquisitions officer for Paramount Global. “We look forward to continuing to execute industry-leading deals that give fans more ways to watch what they love across our multiplatform ecosystem of cable and streaming products.”
