Globo to Take Novela Wounded Past Global

SÃO PAULO: Following on its prime-time success in Brazil, the telenovela Wounded Past is being taken out to the international market, with Globo launching the title at NATPE.

Wounded Past is about Helô and Pedro, who were young lovers that got separated. Twenty years later, they meet again and their passion returns with the same intensity—though Pedro’s ambitious family and Helô’s unscrupulous husband stand in the way.

The telenovela’s cast includes Grazi Massafera (nominated for an International Emmy for Hidden Truths), Vera Holtz (Brazil Avenue), Tarcísio Meira (Irrational Heart), Thiago Lacerda (Precious Pearl), Camila Morgado (Brazil Avenue), José Mayer (Empire) and Regina Duarte (The Illusionist), among others.
