TV Latina Festival: Prime Video’s Pablo Iacoviello

During the third day of the TV Latina Festival, Pablo Iacoviello, director and country manager for emerging Latin America at Prime Video, spoke to Elizabeth Bowen-Tombari, editor of TV Latina, about the platform’s positioning in the region and discussed Argentina, 1985, the Argentinean film that will represent the country in the run for the Academy Award.

In the conversation, which you can view in its entirety here, Iacoviello talked about facing a new landscape of streaming services in the region and what has led Prime Video to position itself as one of the region’s successful platforms. “I think these next few years are going to be interesting for the industry,” he said. “The industry is going to have to go through a reimagining, but we continue forward with the same vision [while] keeping an eye on the current landscape. We are focused on our customers, understanding our users and offering them the best service.”

Iacoviello also touched on deals in place with creators, the strength of Prime Video’s original productions and the expansion and exhibition of live events.
