DALLAS: PX TV, a Latin American sports network distributed by Alterna’TV, is now available in the U.S. for AT&T U-verse TV customers.

Programming on the Spanish-language channel features live event coverage, original shows and packaged series dealing with such action sports as skateboarding, BMX biking, motocross, snowboarding, drifting, surfing and paragliding. The network is available via Latino packages, which offer more than 60 Spanish-language channels, as well as Paquete Español.

“AT&T is proud to be the first provider in the U.S. to bring this channel dedicated to extreme sports from Latin America to our U-verse customers,” said Julie Tran, the head of foreign language programming for AT&T U-verse. “We have an extensive lineup of channels aimed at diverse communities and this addition to Paquete Español will only enhance our already robust lineup.”

“With U-verse, we’re all about providing the content customers want, when and where they want it,” said GW Shaw, the VP of U-verse and video products. “An extensive and diverse lineup is one of many ways we’re able to meet our customers’ needs.”

“Our new relationship with AT&T kicks off with the exclusive U.S. launch of PX TV. This dynamic, engaging channel focuses on the content young adults want to see—extreme sports, the latest music and artists and the hottest fashion trends,” said Aymeric Genty, the CEO of Alterna’TV. “PX TV has been fine-tuning and growing the channel in Mexico—a testament to its effectiveness in reaching today’s young Hispanic audience. We look forward to working with AT&T to make PX TV the preferred entertainment destination for its subscribers.”

Alejandro Mercado, the president of PX TV, added: “The ‘beat’ never stops at PX TV and our new AT&T agreement is another very important milestone in our growth. PX TV content inspires and positively influences young viewers through the sports and competitions that appeal to them most. We’re proud to have our channel available on AT&T U-verse TV.”
