Globo Unveils Original Production Supermax

MIAMI: At a screening event at NATPE this morning, Globo officially presented its first original production targeted exclusively to the Latin American and Hispanic markets, Supermax.

Supermax is a story of suspense and drama that mixes reality TV and fiction in an unprecedented way. It will focus on a reality show recorded in a high security prison. With creative development by Oficina Burman, the adaptation for the Latin American and Hispanic audiences is being done in partnership with Argentinian filmmaker Daniel Burman, who was invited to lead the project’s artistic creation and to cast international talents. The drama will run for ten episodes and will consist of an international cast led by Argentina actress Cecilia Roth and Spanish actor Santiago Segura.

Globo will handle international distribution.
