Silverlining Rights has signed deals for Good TV’s Storms from Above in Europe, Australia and Asia.

The one-hour documentary reveals how cutting-edge technology is helping scientists track dangerous weather like never before. It has been picked up by Australia’s SBS, Sweden’s SVT, Norway’s NRK, Belgium’s DPG, Lithuania’s LRT, the Czech Republic’s Prima Group, Austria’s ORF and Hong Kong’s RTHK.

The documentary delves into technology such as flying laboratories, high-altitude drones and futuristic weather satellites, which are able to warn the world’s populations about lightning, tornadoes and hurricanes in order to minimize the destruction they cause when they make landfall.

“Audiences everywhere are fascinated by extreme weather events and particularly as climate change appears to be making these events more frequent and more damaging,” said Bethan Corney, founder and managing director of Silverlining Rights. “Storms from Above is full of dramatic, eye-opening footage as well as information and explanation from top scientists battling to prevent these weather events causing ever worse destruction.”
