South Korea’s EPG Picks Up Globo’s Precious Pearl

SÃO PAULO: Globo’s telenovela Precious Pearl has sold into South Korea, where it will air on the pay-TV channel EPG.

The network will air the novela in an afternoon time slot. Winner of an International Emmy, the title follows the romance between a working-class girl and a millionaire, and the child that is born out of the union.

In addition, EPG acquired the rights for the miniseries The Party, about a gathering at a businesswoman’s home that is transformed into a mysterious crime scene when a body is discovered in the pool.
