Globo Novelas Land in Kosovo, Macedonia

SÃO PAULO: The Globo telenovelas Brazil Avenue and Side by Side have been sold into Kosovo and Macedonia.

Both titles will air on RTV21, Kosovo’s main channel. The network has previously aired Globo novelas such as Brave Woman and Precious Pearl. The productions will also be broadcast in Macedonia with subtitles in Albanian.

Brazil Avenue is about the revenge that young Nina (Débora Falabella, The Clone) seeks to take on her stepmother, Carminha (Adriana Esteves, Belissima). It has been sold into 130 countries and has become Globo’s most-licensed telenovela.

Side by Side, meanwhile, focuses on the unshakable friendship between a former slave’s daughter (Camila Pitanga, Cat’s Cradle) and a young rich lady (Marjorie Estiano, The Life We Lead) in Rio de Janeiro in the early 1900s. The telenovela has been broadcast on Armenia Public Channel, MundoFox (now MundoMax) in the U.S., Canal Cuatro in El Salvador and Costa Rica’s Teletica, among others.
