Globo’s Brazil Avenue Launched in French-Speaking Africa

SÃO PAULO: The Globo telenovela Brazil Avenue has been picked up in three French-speaking African countries, airing in Mali, Madagascar and Burkina Faso.

In Mali, the ORTM network broadcasts the title, while TVM airs it in Madagascar. Both are free-to-air channels that offer mixed programming. In Burkina Faso, RTB is showing the novela. That channel is already a Globo partner and has aired past titles such as Seize the Day. In all three countries, the telenovela is broadcast in French.

Brazil Avenue also airs on France Ô, which is available in France and its overseas departments, and on Outremer Première, found in French departments such as Tahiti, Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guiana. Additionally, the novela has been licensed to all Latin American countries, as well as to parts of Europe, Asia and the U.S. It recently debuted in the Middle East, on Dubai One.
