Viacom International Studios (VIS) has signed a deal with Univision to broadcast the reality show Resistiré (I Will Survive) on UniMás, its sister network.

Inspired by the original MTV show Stranded with a Million Dollars, Resistiré asks the question: How much money would you be willing to pay to survive? Contestants test their strength, temperament, loyalty and ability to survive in the Andes without food, water, shelter or ability to communicate with the outside world. They’re also challenged to manage half a million dollars. Resistiré is filmed in Chile and features the Mexican television host and comedian Facundo Gomez and the Chilean TV star Diana Bolocco.

Guillermo Borenzstein, VP of content sales and co-productions at Viacom International Studios Americas, said: “The arrival of Resistiré to the U.S. Hispanic audience through Univision reflects the efforts of VIS to develop and produce quality content that transcends borders and crosses markets. The result of working together with MTV, Mega and Azteca, allows this project to continue to win audiences, with high-quality production and innovative twists along the way.”
