A fourth season of the Brazilian adaptation of Dori Media Group’s In Treatment (Sessão de Terapia) has launched on Globoplay, to be followed by a pay-TV premiere on GNT in 2020.

Produced by Moonshot Pictures, there are 35 new episodes featuring original scripts by Jaqueline Vargas (María Magdalena). The new season debuted exclusively on the Globoplay streaming platform on August 30, with a launch on GNT next year.

The original series has traveled across more than 20 countries with 18 different adaptations, including in Argentina, French Canada, Russia, Brazil, Japan, Portugal, the U.S. and Italy.

Nadav Palti, CEO and president of Dori Media Group, commented: “We are delighted to see the resounding success of the new season of In Treatment in Brazil after the outstanding performance of the three previous seasons. In Treatment demystifies the profession without trivializing the patient’s suffering. More than a ten-year worldwide success reflects the recognition of In Treatment as one of the best Israeli television series thanks to the high quality of production and international relevance.”

Roberto d’Avila, Brazilian CEO of Moonshot, commented: “In Treatment hits the heart of the Brazilian audience and is one of the most elevated dramas ever produced in the country. Over the course of five successful years, the show has significantly raised the quality standards for similar worldwide formats, and at the same time remaining relevant to the Brazilian audience in today’s competitive market. In Treatment encourages and promotes the thinking, acceptance and healthy articulation of feelings which is challenging for most people in present times.”
