Venevision Exec Returns with New Role

CARACAS: Jonathan Blum, the former director of development at Venevision, returns to the company as VP and general manager.

In his new position, Blum will be responsible for engineering and technical operations, production services and the departments of marketing, sales and alternative media; administration and finance, human resources, legal and security.

Miguel Dvorak, the president and COO of the Cisneros Group of Companies and executive president of Venevision, said that with the addition of Blum, the infrastructure of the channel will be divided in two areas with Manuel Fraiz-Grijalba, the executive VP of Venevision overseeing all matters related to production, programming, image and promotions. Following his position as director of development at Venevision, which he held from 2001 to 2008, Blum went on to become part of the executive team at E! Entertainment, serving as VP of commercial operations.
