Globo Celebrates 50th Anniversary with New Program Launches

MIAMI: Globo, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, hosted a breakfast this morning at NATPE to present its 2015 catalogue, which includes novelas such as Empire alongside a slate of miniseries, comedies, dramas, feature films and TV movies.

Globo's telenovela catalogue includes the new highlights Precious Pearl, Helena's Shadow, Now Generation and Fight or Love? In the way of miniseries, the company highlighted Doomed and The Party. The comedy Sweet Mother is a featured title, as are the dramas The Hunter and Merciless. Globo unveiled a number of feature films, including The Invisible Woman and Trust. Telefilms on offer from Globo include The Presence of Anita, The Gold Hunt, Internal Affairs and Oh My God.

Also a focus for Globo is the 2016 Olympic Games. The company presented details of the coverage that NewSource Globo, Globo’s news and media services agency, is preparing for the 2016 Olympic Games, in partnership with the international Associated Press.
