ESPN Brings Futsal to LatAm, Caribbean

SÃO PAULO: Globo has sold the rights for the 2013 Grand Prix Futsal to ESPN International for broadcast in Spanish-speaking Latin America and the Caribbean.

As part of the exclusive deal with Globo, ESPN International will air nine games, including classifiers, semifinals and the final, on ESPNPlay.com in the previously mentioned regions. The final will also be shown on ESPN3 throughout Spanish-speaking Latin America. The teams playing this year span from eight countries, including Brazil, Iran, Argentina, Japan, Russia, Serbia, Paraguay and Guatemala.

The 2013 Grand Prix Futsal competition is organized by the Brazilian Futsal Confederation. It is taking place in the south of Brazil from October 22-27.
