English Subtitles Now Available on ViendoMovies

MIAMI: SOMOSTV’s ViendoMovies, a 24-hour commercial-free channel featuring contemporary films originally produced in Spanish, now offers closed captions in English.

The new English subtitles option will better serve ViendoMovies’ bilingual and multigenerational Latino audiences in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. It is also meant to help with the different localisms that are present in the Spanish language. Viewers can now access subtitles in both English and Spanish.

ViendoMovies is distributed on a number of pay-TV services, including cable, satellite and telco. The availability of the English closed-captioning option and how to access it depends on each television provider.

“Closed captions in English will facilitate the enjoyment of an entertainment form that is so popular and is part of our efforts to have a better film channel every day,” said a SOMOSTV spokesperson in a statement. “Each person will be able to select closed captions in the language of their choice.”
