Conecta FICTION Launches Think Tank

Conecta FICTION is holding the first edition of Think Tank, a day for professionals who want to share and learn from the experiences of important figures in the audiovisual sector from Europe and the Americas.

Think Tank, developed by Conecta FICTION and sponsored by RTVE, aims to facilitate personal and professional contact for the communication, discussion and presentation of various points of view on issues such as the concentration of production companies under big corporations, the role of independent producers, the consumption of fiction content by different generations, content financing for different screens and the role of the linear television confronting OTT platforms, among others.

Think Tank will begin with a visit to the National Park of the Bardenas Reales, a semi-desert biosphere reserve in Navarre where series including Game of Thrones, The Counselor, The World Is Not Enough and Mutant Action have been filmed. Later, participants will meet at the Parador Nacional, located in the Royal Palace of Olite, to analyze the future of television fiction content.

The conclusions from the first edition of Think Tank will be presented to all participants of Conecta FICTION 3 on Tuesday, June 18, at 9:00 a.m., as the first session of the event’s conference program. The presentation will be led by Sophie Valais, legal analyst of the European Audiovisual Observatory, and Concepción Cascajosa, a lecturer at the Department of Journalism and Communication at the Carlos III University of Madrid.

Conecta FICTION 3 begins June 17 in Pamplona-Iruña, Navarre, Spain.
