Schedule Released for TV Formats Festival

BBC Studios’ Matt Forde, ITV Studios’ Mike Beale and Lisa Perrin and Warner Bros. International Television Production’s André Renaud are among those slated to deliver keynotes at the TV Formats Festival, World Screen’s latest virtual festival, running from May 28 to 30. Day one of the festival delivers an emphasis on production, licensing trends and factual entertainment, featuring sessions with Matt Forde, president of global production at BBC Studios; Mike Beale, managing director of the global creative network, and Lisa Perrin, managing director of international production, at ITV Studios; André Renaud, group VP for format and finished sales at Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP); and Ralf Rückauer, VP Unscripted at ZDF Studios. Thursday, we shift our focus to analysis, with a session with The WIT’s Caroline Servy, and Asia, delivering sessions with All3Media’s VP for the Asia Pacific, Sabrina Duguet; Jin Woo Hwang, president and founder of Something Special; and Ryuji Komiya, who heads up nonscripted format sales at Fuji Television Network. The festival wraps Friday with a series of screenings.
