Absentia to Open Monte-Carlo TV Festival

The Sony Pictures Television Networks thriller series Absentia, starring Stana Katic (Castle), will open this year’s Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

The exclusive screening of the first episode of Absentia will mark its global premiere. Members of the thriller’s cast and crew will join a host of acting and production talent from around the world on the red carpet. The screening will follow the Opening Ceremony, during which H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the festival’s honorary president, will officially kick off the 57th edition of the event.

Also, actress Helen Mirren will receive the prestigious Crystal Nymph Award at the festival. Prince Albert II will present Mirren with the honor during the Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony on June 20 in Monaco.
