MIAMI: Production has commenced for Rosario, a new telenovela from Venevision Productions and Univision Studios.

Rosario, starring Itahisa Machado, Lorena Rojas and Guy Ecker, centers on a woman who falls in love with the man her mother almost married before she was born.

The original story was penned by Alex Hadad.
 
“We’re thrilled to celebrate the start of another great telenovela, the third one we produce in conjunction with our colleagues at Univision Studios,” said Peter Tinoco, the president and CEO of Venevision Productions.
 
“We’re very excited about kicking off another excellent production like Rosario will undoubtedly be,” added Luis Fernández, the president of Entertainment and Univision Studios. “We have a great cast, a talented writer, and with our partners at Venevision Productions, we’ll surely make a first-rate product.”
