Lord of the Skies Returning to Telemundo

MIAMI: Telemundo has begun production on the sophomore season of The Lord of the Skies (El Señor de los Cielos), marking the first time the network has ever made a second season of an original series.

The Lord of the Skies is produced by Telemundo Studios and filmed by Argos Television. The hit show centers on the life of a Mexican drug lord during the 1990s. The second season will star Rafael Amaya, Ximena Herrera, Carmen Villalobos, Raúl Méndez, Fernanda Castillo, Manuela González and Robinson Díaz. It is scheduled to premiere in the spring of 2014.
