Globo’s Trail of Lies Heads to New Territories

SÃO PAULO: Brazil’s Globo has sold its telenovela Trail of Lies into several markets across Europe, South America and Africa.

The bulk of the sales took place in Latin America, with the novela going to Argentina’s Telefe, Ecuador’s Ecuavisa, Chile’s Canal 13, Bolivia’s Unitel, Peru’s ATV and Panama’s Telemetro, as well as Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.

In Eastern Europe, Georgia’s Imedi TV picked it up, while Mozambique’s Soico nabbed the title in Africa.

Trail of Lies follows Paloma (Paolla Oliveira), whose newborn baby is abducted by her own brother. Bruno (Malvino Salvador) finds that child in a dumpster, setting in motion a plot full of secrets, revelations and disputes with unforeseeable consequences.
