Globo’s Precious Pearl Lands in Canada

SÃO PAULO: Globo’s International Emmy-winning novela Precious Pearl has been picked up in Canada, premiering on that country’s Omni channel.

The title debuted yesterday, airing on a time slot dedicated to Brazilian telenovelas. It tells the story of a working-class woman, a millionaire and their daughter, Pearl.

Other broadcasters in the Americas have picked up the novela, including Telemundo in the U.S and Teledoce in Uruguay. International sales have also been secured with Armenia Public TV, Mongolia’s TV5 and South Korean media group EPG, among others.
