Globo Telenovela Finds Success in Portugal

SÃO PAULO: Globo's Beloved Life, a telenovela, premiered earlier this week on SIC in Portugal as the country's most-watched program.

Dancin' Days, co-produced by Globo and SIC, brought in the second largest audience, followed by Brazil Avenue.

Beloved Life follows a conflict involving control of the San Magno hospital. The show stars Antonio Fagundes (Irrational Heart), Mateus Solano (Seize the Day), Susana Vieira (India: A Love Story) and Malvino Salvador (Looks & Essence). It has also been performing well during its prime-time slot in Brazil.

Later this month SIC is scheduled to begin airing two more Globo productions. Sangue Bom, which is taking the place of Sparkling Girls, will debut on Monday, September 9, while Her Battle will replace Pages of Life at the end of September.
