MIAMI: Tr3s, the Viacom-owned entertainment network aimed at the Hispanic millennial generation, is ramping up its original programming slate for 2012, inking deals with Jennifer Lopez and Wilmer Valderrama, among others.

Lopez is working with Simon Fields and Jane Startz on Amigas, Inc. Startz is the creator of the Amigas, Inc. books series and characters, which were inspired by Lopez. Eight episodes have been ordered for a fall 2012 debut.

Valderrama (That ’70s Show) is executive producer on the new docu-series The Ricardo Laguna Project, following BMX champion (and Vegas bachelor) Ricardo Laguna as as he attempts to break three world records and start his own family business. The 8×30-minute show premieres in March.

Latin American music, film and TV star Dulce Maria takes center stage in Dulce Maria: Extranjera (Dulce Maria: Foreign). The 10×1-hour show, focusing on Dulce Maria as she attempts to break into Hollywood, launches in July.

In addition to the lineup of new originals, Tr3s has announced the acquisition of the Mexican novela Bienvenida Realidad from Argos Communications. The 120-episode show from Cadena Tres, Argos Communications and Sony Pictures Television starts airing on Tr3s next month.
