Original Series Part of Caracol Internacional’s DISCOP Africa Slate

BOGOTÁ: Caracol Internacional is heading to DISCOP Africa next month with a slate made up of original series, movies and documentaries.

The series Laura, an Extraordinary Life tells the story of a woman who challenges the expectations of her time, giving up the opportunity to be a wife and a mother in order to follow her vocation. The production is one of two new series dubbed in English being offered to buyers, the other being Emeralds, the Color of Ambition. “Emeralds and Laura have great production values, being shot in 4K and 100 percent outdoors in beautiful locations,” says Berta Orozco, the distributor’s sales executive for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. “Both of them have very interesting plots and I’m sure our clients will be delighted with them.”

Other series highlights are Soul SistersThe Voice of Freedom, Fugitives, The Sweetest Love and Emeralds, the Color of Ambition.

Caracol Internacional will also offer documentaries from Discovery Channel and other factual producers. On the movie front, the distributor will offer titles such as The Potato Cartel, Before the Fire, A Letter to Baby Jesus, The Principal and Living on a Dream

“Since the year is almost ending, our plan is of course to close as many deals in Africa as we can,” Orozco says.
