New Appointments at Univision

NEW YORK: Cristina Schwarz has taken on the role of VP of Univision Cable Networks, overseeing the strategy for a portfolio that includes Galavisión and tlnovelas.

Based in Miami and reporting to Cesar Conde, the president of Univision Networks, Schwarz is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for Galavisión, tlnovelas, De Película, De Película Clásico, Bandamax, Ritmoson, Telehit, Distrito Comedia and ForoTV. She has been elevated to the post from her position as VP of programming and production at Univision Cable Networks.

Meanwhile, Gerardo Lopez Gallo has been tapped as VP of programming at Galavisión Network after most recently serving as VP of cable networks. He reports to Alberto Ciurana, the president of programming and content at Univision. Lopez Gallo will partner with Schwarz in her new role as VP of Univision Cable Networks.
