Jorge Hidalgo Named SVP of Operations at Hemisphere

Hemisphere Media Group has named Jorge Hidalgo as senior VP of operations.

In this newly created role, Hidalgo will be responsible for Hemisphere’s technical operations, with a focus on its Latin American businesses, serving as liaison to Canal 1, one of only three national broadcast television networks in Colombia, which is jointly owned by Hemisphere.

Hidalgo is a seasoned TV executive with 38 years of experience in the U.S. Hispanic television industry. He most recently served as a consultant to Hemisphere in its bid to secure the broadcast license to Canal 1. Prior to consulting for Hemisphere, Hidalgo was the executive VP of sports at Telemundo Network and previously served as sports director for Univision Network.
