HITN-TV in U.S. Unveils New Edutainment Programming

NEW YORK: HITN-TV, a U.S. Spanish-language educational channel, has launched a slate of new edutainment programming, including the U.S. premiere of the drama series Hispania, The Legend.

New titles include Mundo al Natural, which will feature the award-winning series Wild Australasia and Wild Africa; Espacio Ciencia, featuring the space-themed Wonders of the Universe; the BBC docuseries Simon Schama’s Power of Art; and the health magazine A Tu Salud! Meanwhile, the Spanish series Hispania, The Legend focuses on the dramatic events during the conquest of Hispania and subsequent oppression by the Romans.

“HITN-TV provides an alternative to the traditional programming offered by the Hispanic television networks and it is our goal to continue enhancing our programming to offer even more interesting and educational content,” said Florentina Almonte-Balseca, HITN-TV's VP of programming.
