Hemisphere Media Scores Miss Universe Puerto Rico Rights

Hemisphere Media Group has acquired the exclusive rights for the Miss Universe Puerto Rico franchise from The Miss Universe Organization.

Under the agreement, Miss Universe Puerto Rico will be managed and executed by WAPA Television, which has aired it since 2015. WAPA is putting together a team of experts to oversee the local event, and has named former Miss Universe Denise Quiñones as pageant director. This year’s edition will be held in Puerto Rico in September, with additional details to follow.
