MIAMI: Carlos Barba, who has held roles at U.S. Hispanic channels such as Telemundo and Univision, is rolling out the Spanish-language subscription streaming service Véonet.

Barba serves as chairman of Véonet, which is now accessible to all viewers and potential subscribers on Veonet.tv, in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. The programming mix on the OTT is available in Spanish without subtitles. Serving as president of Véonet is Efren Carranza, former producer of Sabado Gigante.

Barba commented: “Opening Véonet is for me like a dream come true, bringing so many excellent programs to all our Hispanic television lovers in America!”

Continued Barba: “With the fantastic team of experts and talented professionals led by President Efren Carranza and comprising TV veterans like Richard J. Arthur, Jaime Serrada, Hector Rivero, Luz Villalobos and Georges Leclere, Véonet is now reviving the Hispanic television culture!”

Carranza added: “This rollout is just the beginning as the VeoNet team is uploading hundreds of additional hours in the days to come. Similarly, even if our first target today is the 34 million Hispanic viewers in the U.S.A., we are deploying a huge network of affiliates all over Latin America and Spain to fast cover the whole American continent.”
