Colombia’s RTI Forms New Premium-Content Unit

BOGOTÁ: Colombian production company RTI has launched a new premium-content division headed by well-known novela producer Hernán Rodríguez Matte.

The division is set to develop high-budget scripted projects and TV movies for various cable and OTT clients within the Spanish-speaking market. The new sector will complement the company’s recent production deal for 150 hours of content with Televisa.

Division head Rodríguez Matte will approve the original series and scripted formats. The writer/producer was creator and showrunner for the successful Chilean series La Colonia, and also served as head of development at TVN.
