PARIS: Novavision has secured a third programming deal with Artear in Argentina.

The first deal took place in 2009, when the cable channel Quiero TV picked up five episodes of Pop Corn Christmas from Novavision. In 2010, terrestrial network Canal 13 secured 130 episodes of Crazy Hidden Camera, and most recently the group’s free cable channel Magazine TV has signed up for another programming package with Novavision. Magazine TV licensed 170 clips from Novavision’s series Extreme Sports Bloopers, Zeze Hidden Camera, Junior Hidden Camera, Mad Boys and Hilarious Home Video.

“This latest agreement with Artear is a significant deal for Novavision and we are delighted with the good relationship we have built with this major Argentinean group,” said François-Xavier Poirier, the president and CEO of Novavision. “It also illustrates the appetite in Latin America for our programming. We recently signed a deal with the Mexican channel TV Azteca involving 4,000 clips over six months, and in Brazil, Grupo Bandeirantes has made its own customized version of Pop Corn TV, having acquired 420 shows. This also extends to mobile, since we recently signed an agreement with the Brazilian operator Telefonica do Brasil.”
