Pay-TV Piracy to Be Addressed at ABTA

SÃO PAULO: The 2013 ABTA Expo & Conference is bringing together four international speakers to debate the issue of the fight against piracy in pay TV during a special panel session.

Marta Ochoa, the director of the Pay-TV Alliance Against Piracy in the U.S.; Horacio Gennari, the CEO of Business Bureau in Argentina; Ben Jun, the CTO of U.S.-based Cryptography Research; and Cristofaro Mune, senior security analyst at Riscure Security Lab in the Netherlands, will take part in the debate. They will all be discussing recent developments in fighting one of the industry’s greatest drains on revenue: according to SETA estimates (Brazil’s National Union of Pay-TV and Conditional Access Service Companies) there are 2 million illegal decoders in Brazil.
