As part of a brand identity redesign at RTL Group, the German streaming service TV Now will be rebranded as RTL+ by the end of this year.

RTL Group saw the number of paying subscribers for its streaming services TV Now and Videoland rise by 71 percent year-on-year in the first quarter.

While year-on-year revenues were down 9.5 percent, RTL Group reported a rebound in television advertising in the second half of 2020.

RTL Group has reached a deal to take full ownership of RTL Belgium.

RTL Group reported stronger than expected ad revenues in the third quarter and is forecasting its total revenues for this year will be around €5.8 billion ($6.8 billion).

For the six months ended June 30, 2020, RTL Group's revenues were down 16.4 percent to €2.7 billion amid the COVID-19 pandemic, while the company reported gains in market share and an increase in paying subs for its streaming services.

RTL Group delivered first-quarter revenues of €1.47 billion ($1.59 billion), a 3.4-percent decline from the same period last year, mainly due to lower ad revenues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

RTL Group revenues for 2019 rose to €6.7 billion ($7.4 billion), delivering a profit for the year that was up by 10.1 percent to €864 million ($960 million).

RTL Group has reported revenue of 4.6 billion euros ($5.1 billion) for the first nine months of 2019, up 2.8 percent, largely thanks to the group’s global content business, Fremantle, and digital activities.

Reporting its highest-ever first-half revenues, RTL Group has announced a new leadership structure under CEO Thomas Rabe and created a management committee to drive growth and foster collaboration across its operating divisions.
