Sony Pictures Television Hires Mediaset’s Zelda Stewart

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has named Zelda Stewart, who has been serving as the head of acquisitions at Mediaset since 2005, as VP of distribution for Italy.

Reporting to senior VP of distribution, Andreas Brosjo, Stewart will drive SPT’s distribution across Italy on all platforms in broadcast, digital and VOD. She takes up her post as head of the Italian distribution team this month and will be based in Milan, where the company will open another office in the summer.

Brosjo said: “Zelda has unrivaled knowledge of the Italian media landscape and a deep understanding of what buyers need. She is poised to further our ambitions in Italy and brings incredible insight and skill to this important market.”
