Sky Extends SPE Deal

Key Sony Pictures Entertainment feature films and television shows from Sony Pictures Television will be available to Sky Cinema and Sky Entertainment customers in the U.K. and Ireland via a new deal between the pay platform and the studio.

With the extension of the first pay window deal, Sky Cinema customers will be able to access titles such as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Gran Turismo, Equalizer 3, the next installment of the Ghostbusters franchise and upcoming releases in the Sony Pictures universe of Marvel characters. The pact also covers recent hits such as Whitney: I Wanna Dance With Somebody and A Man Called Otto, in addition to library films.

On the series front, Sky Entertainment customers will have access to future seasons of The Good Doctor and S.W.A.T.

Sky Store customers will be able to buy or rent films and TV series from the Sony Pictures library. The deal also includes live and on-demand content for streaming service NOW.

Overall, the deal encompasses 600 hours of film and television content.
