Sky Studios has brought on board Rebecca O’Connor as director of production, joining later this year from the BBC.
O’Connor will partner with Sky Studios’ comedy and drama teams in the U.K. to oversee the physical production of the upcoming slate. She joins Sky Studios from the BBC, where she currently works as head of business for scripted, overseeing the drama, film and comedy slate.
O’Connor will report to Caroline Cooper, COO at Sky Studios. The production teams led by Jo Hunter for comedy, Livia Burton for drama and Eugenio Perez for in-house and partner projects will report to O’Connor when she starts in August.
“Rebecca is an excellent team player with a solid understanding, reputation and network within the industry,” said Cooper. “She has the experience, skills and drive to create unmissable TV, and I know she will make an excellent addition to our team at Sky Studios.”
