ATF Spotlight: ATRESMEDIA Televisión

SINGAPORE: When the mayor’s daughter is found dead, the police have their hands full trying to figure out who is responsible in the thriller Plastic Sea (Mar de plástico), which ATRESMEDIA Televisión is presenting to buyers at ATF.

The series is set in a town where greenhouses are the main source of economic activity, and the police will have a difficult time determining the killer, because there are many possible culprits. ATRESMEDIA Televisión is also highlighting the drama Locked Up (Vis a vis), about a girl who is sentenced to serve time in a women’s prison.

The company’s ATF slate also features the telenovela The Secret of Old Bridge (El Secreto de Puente Viejo). “With more than 1,400 episodes, it is one of the most successful titles and one of the best-selling series,” says Diana Borbón Cuchí, sales manager at ATRESMEDIA Televisión. Other highlights include The Time In Between (El tiempo entre costuras), which was sold to NHK in Japan, and A Normal Family (Los Protegidos), which was picked up by CCTV in China.

“We are working on building long-term client relationships in Asia and finding the best partners,” says Borbón Cuchí.
