Rewind Networks and LYD are working together to bring the HITS pay-TV channel, delivering classic TV shows, to the Korean marketplace.

LYD will oversee areas such as distribution, localization, marketing and advertising sales of the HITS channel, with the possibility of a dedicated Korean feed. LYD and Rewind will also look at opportunities to bring classic Korean content to global audiences.

“As one of the major epicenters for global entertainment, Korea is an important market for Rewind Networks’ Asia ambitions,” said Avi Himatsinghani, CEO of Rewind Networks. “We look forward to working closely with LYD and strategically leveraging their expertise in the Korean market so that viewers in Korea can also enjoy HITS’ unique core proposition of The Best TV. All In One Place.”

“Through this partnership, LYD looks forward to amplifying the success that Rewind’s HITS brand has enjoyed in Asia even further in the Korean market,” said Joon Lee, CEO of LYD. “Koreans are some of the world’s savviest connoisseurs of content and with our expertise, we are confident that the HITS proposition will strongly resonate with them.”
