Parkwood Entertainment and Disney+ are bringing the visual album Black Is King, written, directed and executive produced by Beyoncé, to global audiences next month.

Rebecca Campbell has been named chairman of direct-to-consumer and international at The Walt Disney Company, succeeding longtime Disney executive Kevin Mayer.

Revenues at The Walt Disney Company in Q1 2019 were up 36 percent as the conglomerate delivered gains across all of its segments, including direct-to-consumer, with Disney+ ending 2019 with 26.5 million paid subs.

Chris Loveall, former VP of international programming for AMC Networks, is joining Disney+ in the role of VP of content for international.

Disney+ says it recorded more than 10 million sign-ups on its first day of being available in the U.S., Canada and the Netherlands.
