Monte-Carlo TV Fest Reveals Golden Nymph Nominees

The nominees for the Golden Nymph Awards, which will be presented at the 59th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, have been revealed, with nods for series such as Bodyguard, Killing Eve and My Brilliant Friend.

The long fiction category features A Very English Scandal (U.K.), The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (U.S.), Dukla 61 (Czech Republic), Escape at Dannemora (U.S.), Thirst for Life (France) and Before the Night (Italy).

The TV comedy category includes Dubbing Steet (Czech Republic), One Night (Norway), Mental (France) and On the Spectrum (Israel).

In the TV drama arena, the nominees are Bodyguard (U.K.), Das Boot (Germany, Czech Republic), Moscow Noir (Sweden), Killing Eve (U.K.), My Brilliant Friend (Italy) and State of Happiness (Norway).

The documentary nominees are Against the Elements (Singapore), Out of Control: The Implant Files (Germany), Crackdown: The “Rule of Law” in China (Japan), Dollar Heroes: North Korea’s Secret Slaves (Germany, South Korea) and Drowning in Plastic (U.K.).

The Special Prize Prince Rainier III awards go to Drowning in Plastic and The Curse of Abundance (Poland).

The Monte-Carlo Television Festival is being held from June 14 to 18. The winners will be announced at the red carpet event on the final evening of the festival.
