MIPCOM Spotlight: Dori Media Group

The adventure drama Eilat, from the Dori Media Group catalog, follows as a group of teens from different backgrounds meets at a prestigious hotel for a summer that will change their lives.

Nadav Palti, the president and CEO of Dori Media Group, highlights the show’s “clever writing, excellent directing and outstanding acting, with a story and characters that are international and therefore can be adopted everywhere in the world—which is just what broadcasters are looking for.”

The company is also promoting the reality format The Box, a talent show for kids ages 5 to 14. The series is searching for the next social media star.

There’s a second season of the crime drama El Marginal on offer as well. The “violent, edgy and realistic” storylines stir up “mixed emotions for the viewer, who cannot relax,” says Palti.

MIPCOM Spotlight: Dori Media Group

CANNES: Many of the series from the Dori Media Group catalogue have already proven themselves with great results in their native Israel, according to Nadav Palti, the company’s president and CEO.

New York was the most-viewed drama on the YES DBS satellite provider in Israel during 2012,” he says. “Due to its success, a second season is already in preproduction and is scheduled to go on air in 2013.” Palti also points to the success of Galis, which has a second season in production, and The Money Pump, which scored high ratings for Channel 2. New York is a crime drama produced by Dori Media Darset, while Galis is a series that was originally produced by Dori Media Darset for Noga Communications. The Money Pump is a game-show format created by Gili Golan, Adi Golan and Harel Joseffson.
