Mary Kills People co-stars Caroline Dhavernas and Richard Short speak to World Screen’s Anna Carugati about the show’s honest portrayal of the provocative subject of assisted suicide.
Mary Kills People stars Caroline Dhavernas (Hannibal) as Dr. Mary Harris, an ER doctor by day who by night helps terminally ill patients who want to die on their own terms. Richard Short (Vinyl) plays Des, Mary’s trusted partner.
The darkly comedic drama comes from Tara Armstrong (Private Eyes), showrunner Tassie Cameron (Rookie Blue, Flashpoint) and director Holly Dale (The Americans, Dexter, Castle). The series is produced by Entertainment One (eOne) and Cameron Pictures, in association with Corus Entertainment. Mary Kills People, which is distributed by eOne, launched earlier this year on Global in Canada and is currently airing Sundays on Lifetime in the U.S.
