FilmRise has raised an additional $50 million in financing to further its acquisition of film and TV titles.

The investor group behind this newest round of funding is led by Arena Investors. Arena is a global investment firm and merchant capital provider to a myriad of industries. The latest round brings its total acquisition capital raised to date to more than $110 million.

This year, FilmRise licensed the distribution rights to six classic TV series from Carsey-Werner, including Roseanne and 3rd Rock from the Sun. FilmRise also recently announced its partnership with Amazon to make these shows available exclusively on Prime Video, marking FilmRise’s largest acquisition deal to date.

“FilmRise has successfully become a leader in the digital market by embracing the opportunities surrounding our content-driven industry,” said FilmRise’s CEO, Danny Fisher. “We are thrilled to continue our aggressive acquisition strategy through our relationship with Arena Investors, who share our innovative understanding of the evolving film and TV business.”

“FilmRise has helped to redefine the digital landscape by embracing the way programming—film and television—is being delivered to audiences today,” said Daniel B. Zwirn, the CEO of Arena Investors. “We are impressed by their cutting-edge and expansive distribution partnerships with industry leaders, and we’re thrilled to support them as they continue to grow rapidly.”
