Laurent Puons, CEO of Monaco Mediax, organizers of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, commented: “I am delighted that over the course of four years, the number of programmes registered for the Golden Nymphs competition has increased by 27 percent. This year, 18 countries are represented by the 38 nominated programs, which is clear evidence of the diverse nature of international productions. In the fiction category, Europe has clearly marked its territory, although the United States, Canada and Australia are still present. In the news category, I also welcome the nomination of programs from Iran, Malaysia and Qatar. These nominees ensure we will have a great competition which will be judged by our renowned jury members when they convene in Monaco. This demonstrates once again that the Golden Nymphs are acknowledged as being one of the most prestigious awards in the world of international television productions.”

The Monte-Carlo Television Festival will take place from June 15 to 19.
