All3Media Aligns Lime Pictures & Lion TV Labels

All3Media has brought its indie production companies Lion TV and Lime Pictures closer together, with Lion TV Managing Director Shahana Meer deciding not to take part in the restructuring and exiting the company.

Richard Bradley and Nick Catliff, currently joint managing directors of Lion with Meer, will become Lion’s chief creative officer and chief content officer, respectively. They will now report to Lime Pictures’ joint managing directors, Kate Little and Claire Poyser.

Lion TV’s London offices are being moved to join Lime Pictures’. Lion TV will continue to operate as its own distinct company, with its New York and Glasgow offices remaining unchanged.

Jane Turton, CEO of All3Media, said: “Lion is one of the most recognized and respected production companies in the U.K. and around the world. Its slate of shows and formats like Homes Under the Hammer, Horrible Histories, Mary Beard history documentaries and Cash Cab are world class. The changes we are making will allow Richard and Nick to concentrate on developing the slate even further while benefitting from the operational support and resources provided by the team at Lime, along with Kate and Claire’s first-class track record of growing strong, creative and successful businesses.”

She continued, “It’s very sad that Shahana is leaving and I’d like to thank her for playing such a key role in Lion and in the wider Group over many years. It has been a pleasure working with Shahana and I wish her every success in the future.”

Meer said: “I am so proud of what I have achieved at Lion Television. I leave on a high knowing that I have helped create and run one of the most admired and successful production companies in the U.K. and internationally.”

Catliff and Bradley said: “We’re looking forward to working closely with Claire and Kate as part of the next phase of Lion’s life. This new structure will mean the Lion team can not only continue to produce the type of programs that the company has built its reputation upon but also invest in new ideas to deliver creative growth.”

Little and Poyser said: “We are really excited to be working directly with Richard and Nick. We have been huge fans of Lion’s outstanding portfolio for many years and are thrilled to be able to join forces with the team.”
