FilmRise Launches Sherlock Holmes FAST Channel & More

FilmRise has launched six new FAST channels, including the first-ever FAST channel dedicated to Sherlock Holmes content.

The Sherlock Holmes Channel will feature tales adapted from the works of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories.

FilmRise will also be launching Z Nation, Continuum, FilmRise Drama, Sheriffs: El Dorado County and Iron Chef en Español.

The lineup on the Film Rise Drama Channel will include character-driven series and movies featuring stars like Alexander Skarsgård, Helen Mirren, David Oyelowo, Rosie Perez and more.

The Z Nation Channel will broadcast content from Z Nation, which takes place in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. A ragtag group of strangers escort the only known survivor of a zombie bite across the U.S. in hopes that the survivor’s blood will save humanity.

On the Continuum Channel, episodes from the multi-Saturn Award-winning series Continuum will air. The show, which aired on SYFY from 2013 to 2015, follows detective Kiera Cameron, who is a cop from the year 2077 and was raised to rely on technology more than anything else, even herself. She and a group of deadly criminals become trapped in present-day Vancouver.

The 24/7 Sheriffs: El Dorado County Channel will chronicle the daily duties and challenges of the El Dorado Sheriff’s Department in Northern California.

Iron Chef en Español will broadcast the original Iron Chef in Spanish.
