Dramaturgy Takes Center Stage in Canal Once Series

MEXICO CITY: Canal Once is slated to begin airing Teatro Estudio, a new show spotlighting the art of dramaturgy, later this week.

Teatro Estudio will see a number of famous Mexican actors and actresses perform dramatized readings of compositions from Óscar Liera, Jaime Chabaud, Gerardo Mancebo del Castillo, Salvador Novo and José Peón Contreras, among others. The 13×60-minute original production was created by Carlos Pascual, a script writer, producer and scenic director.

Teatro Estudio is scheduled to premiere on Canal Once’s international feed in the U.S. tomorrow at 6 p.m. The series will feature such dramatic works as Los negros pájaros del adiós, Pequeñas Certezas and Talk show.
