NBCUniversal Plans Family Movie Nights

NBCUniversal is rolling out “Stay-In Theater” family movie nights across its platforms, including USA, Telemundo, SYFY and E!

The family movie night experience is available across cable and Telemundo, with limited commercial interruption, thanks to Target. The first “Stay-In Theater” movie airs tonight at 7 p.m. across USA, SYFY and E!, with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

The “Stay-In Theater” experience will continue every Friday and Saturday for the next three weeks. Kung Fu Panda 2 will air on Telemundo on April 11, while Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is on USA, SYFY and E! on April 17. Zootopia will be on Telemundo on April 18, and USA, SYFY, and E! will air Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire on April 24, followed by Telemundo’s airing of Max on April 25.

Josh Feldman, executive VP, head of marketing and creative advertising for NBCUniversal, said: “Tonight we’re thrilled to air our very first ‘Stay-In Theater’ Family Movie night experience. Thanks to presenting sponsor Target, viewers across America can tune-in to family-friendly films, with very limited commercial interruption. Families around the world are staying at home to stay safe and stop the spread. NBCUniversal is committed to providing the content and viewing experiences that will create special family bonding moments.”
